Maintenance Assistant

Are you a dependable and hardworking individual who takes pride in keeping facilities clean, functional, and safe? Racine Country Club is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help maintain the overall appearance and operation of our club’s buildings and equipment. This is a great opportunity to work in a team-oriented environment and support the high standards our members expect and enjoy.

Responsibilities

Assist with daily maintenance tasks including basic repairs, cleaning, painting, and equipment upkeep.
Support preventative maintenance programs for all club facilities.
Perform routine inspections to identify potential safety hazards or maintenance issues.
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Help maintain cleanliness and order in maintenance areas, mechanical rooms, and storage spaces.
Respond promptly to service calls and maintenance requests from staff and management.
Set up and take down of furniture for events, meetings, or seasonal operations.
Ensure all work is completed safely and complies with club and regulatory standards.
Report major repairs or needs to Manager.
Assist with pool area maintenance during summer season.
Perform other duties as assigned to support club operations.

Qualifications

Minimum of one to two years previous maintenance, custodial, or general labor experience preferred.
Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC) is a plus.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), work outdoors, and be on your feet for extended periods.
Valid driver’s license
Willingness to work 7am – 3:30pm on weekdays and occasional weekends.

Education

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
