Maintenance Assistant

Are you a dependable and hardworking individual who takes pride in keeping facilities clean, functional, and safe? Racine Country Club is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help maintain the overall appearance and operation of our club’s buildings and equipment. This is a great opportunity to work in a team-oriented environment and support the high standards our members expect and enjoy.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily maintenance tasks including basic repairs, cleaning, painting, and equipment upkeep.
  • Support preventative maintenance programs for all club facilities.
  • Perform routine inspections to identify potential safety hazards or maintenance issues.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Help maintain cleanliness and order in maintenance areas, mechanical rooms, and storage spaces.
  • Respond promptly to service calls and maintenance requests from staff and management.
  • Set up and take down of furniture for events, meetings, or seasonal operations.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and complies with club and regulatory standards.
  • Report major repairs or needs to Manager.
  • Assist with pool area maintenance during summer season.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support club operations.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of one to two years previous maintenance, custodial, or general labor experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC) is a plus.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), work outdoors, and be on your feet for extended periods.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Willingness to work 7am – 3:30pm on weekdays and occasional weekends.  
 Education
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
